Home / Trades

Find your trade, then read the detail.

This page is the directory. Pick a trade and it takes you to the page that explains what the till, the stock control and the reporting do for that counter specifically.

How to use this page

One system, twenty-eight counters

Every trade below runs the same product file, the same shift ends and the same back office. What changes is which part of it you lean on all day — and that is what the trade pages describe.

Same till, different emphasis

A chip shop leans on speed and fixed prices. An off-licence leans on age checks and a refusals record. Same screen underneath.

Same stock control

Counting, ordering and margin work identically whether you sell wine or wingnuts. Weighed lines sit beside barcoded ones.

Same published price

There is no trade surcharge. The pricing page lists every licence band, and hospitality is cheaper than retail, not dearer.

Hospitality

Hospitality trades

Seven counters, all counter service. Table service is not built, and the hospitality EPOS page says exactly where that line falls before you ask.

Questions

Choosing by trade.

My trade is not listed. Does that mean it will not work?

Almost certainly not. If you serve over a counter, take card and count stock, the system fits. The list is the trades we have shops in today, not a limit. Tell us what you run and we will say honestly whether it suits you.

Does the price change depending on my trade?

Only by licence band, and every band is published on the pricing page. Standard retail is £59 a month per till, hospitality is £48, symbol stores with the Booker price file are £69. There is no trade surcharge on top.

I run two different trades from one site. Can one till do both?

Yes. A spa with a retail counter, or a bakery that also sells groceries, runs one product file with both ranges on it. Reporting separates them by product type, so you can see each side of the business on its own.

How much of the system is different between trades?

The software is identical. What differs is setup: which age prompts are on, whether the scale is connected, how the menu groups are laid out and which price file feeds it. That setup is done for you before the till arrives.

Not on the list?

If you serve over a counter, take card and count stock, it almost certainly fits. Tell us what you run.
