Questions
What groups ask first.
Do all my shops have to price the same?
No. Prices can be set centrally and then overridden per shop where a location genuinely justifies it. The point of central pricing is that a change made once reaches everywhere, not that every shop is identical.
Can I see one shop’s numbers without wading through the group?
Yes. Reporting is per shop, per till and per operator as well as consolidated, so a branch that is drifting shows up rather than averaging out inside a good group total.
How do transfers between branches work?
Raised at one end, received at the other, with a receipt at both. Stock in transit is visible, which is what stops the familiar argument about whether it was sent or never arrived.
Is multi-site an upgrade or an extra module?
Neither. It is part of the system, licensed per till like everything else. A group of five shops pays five licences, or more if a shop has two counters — the pricing page has the bands.
Can head office and shop staff have different access?
Yes. Staff sign in under their own login, and what each person can see and do is set by role. Cost prices and group reporting do not have to be visible on the counter.
What if the shops are on different fascias?
That is common and it is fine. A group running Premier and an unbranded shop side by side uses one product file with the Booker price file feeding the lines it applies to.
