Counter service works. Table service does not.
Cafes, bakeries, food trucks, chip shops and pizza counters run on this today. Table service does not, and we say so before you ask.
An EPOS system for counter-service hospitality
Cafes, bakeries, food trucks, chip shops, pizza counters and spa retail run on this today: a short menu keyed fast, weighed lines beside each-priced ones, card at a flat 1% and a shift that ends cleanly. Table service does not, and the panel below draws that line plainly rather than burying it.
Where the line is
What works today, and what does not.
The same panel appears on every hospitality page on this site. It is the first thing we would want to see if we were buying.
Works today
- Menu groups with pictured item buttons, and tabbed sub-categories
- Weighed lines priced per kilo, beside each-priced lines
- Card payments at a flat 1%, integrated with the till
- Numbered sessions, End Shift and Submit Z, several times a day
- Stock control, waste and supplier deliveries
- Back office: sales, foot fall, refunds, discounts, sales by product type, stock at cost and at retail
- Keeps selling when the broadband drops
Not built yet
- Table management — no covers, no table plan, no split bills by seat
- Item modifiers — no “no onions” prompt on a menu item
- Kitchen display (KDS) — orders do not appear on a kitchen screen
- Appointment booking — not part of the system
Named plainly, with no date implied. If either of these decides your choice, we are not the right system for you yet, and we would rather say so now.
In the pipeline
- Bar & pub — a distinct approach, in design
- Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats — roadmap item on integrations
Trades
Six counters it fits now.

One till, no fixed line, and a day that has to reconcile on the road.
- Keeps selling when the mobile signal drops, and catches up after
- A short fixed-price menu, no scrolling
- Card payments at 1% flat
Fish & Chip Shop
Counter queue, fixed prices and a Friday night that decides the week. No kitchen display yet.

- Offline trading through a broadband drop

- Split tender across cash and card, with change due

The retail counter and treatment payments. Appointment booking is not part of the system.
- Retail product and treatment payment in one basket
- Takings by operator
- Stock control on the retail range
Questions
The ones hospitality asks first.
Do you do table management?
No. There is no table plan, no covers and no bill splitting by seat. If you run table service, this is not the right system for you yet.
Is there a kitchen display?
Not yet. Orders print or are handed over at the counter; they do not appear on a kitchen screen.
Can you take Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats orders?
Not yet. Those are on the roadmap and are not priced, because they are not built. Orders are keyed at the till today.
What about a bar or pub?
A different approach, still in design. We would rather build it properly than adapt the retail till and call it done.
What does it cost?
The same published pricing as retail, on the pricing page. No hospitality surcharge.
Tell us what you serve
A short menu, a weighed counter or a Friday night queue. We will tell you honestly whether it fits.
